As the front line in attracting, finding and retaining the right people, the HR department needs to set our ambitions at the same level. Daniel Wellington are now looking for a driven HR Specialist with recruitment experience to join our office in Tokyo.

YOUR CHALLENGE

You will be the first one coordinating the local HR activities and your main responsibility will be building up the local HR function in Japan with focus on retail recruitment. That means setting the structures and processes needed to make sure we're able to attract and retain the right people. You will be responsible for the entire HR area for your local market including recruitment, creating policies and procedures and handling administration just to name a few tasks. We want you to come in and take ownership of your area. This role requires taking initiative, working independently as well as being a strong team player. You will get to be a part of a Global HR team, with the HR Manager APAC based in Hong Kong, but you will report to General Manager in Tokyo. 

WHO YOU ARE

We see that you know how things work in a global company and have bright and exciting ideas and thoughts on how HR will change in the coming years. As we are only seven years old we still have some elements to implement in the coming years and we want you to have experience of, and love, to build things. 

We see that you must have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ work experience from HR or Talent Acquisition 
  • Recruitment experience
  • Great communication skills, both written and spoken English, fluency in Japanese
  • Good knowledge of local labor law and the on-boarding process
  • A curiosity about people and what makes them tick 
  • Experience of driving projects
  • Know how to have fun

And we’d love if you recognize yourself in these:

  • Experience from retail and/or fast-moving growth companies 
  • Passion for digitalization
  • A big interest in the next generation HR
